I learned a new philosophy the other day, while talking on the bus.
Apparently, the Maori have a philosophy about life: You are always walking through the past. The future is behind you, and that’s why you can’t see it.
It kind of breaks my brain a little, but in a good way, I think.
We can only visit where we’ve been, because every step that you make is based on who you’ve become. I think maybe everyone is walking backwards into the future, and maybe that’s why we fall down so much.
