Misty’s American Diner

I went for my trial at Misty’s American Diner last night, and it was kind of insane.

It was partly insane because I had really no idea what I was doing, and the whole thing was totally off-the-cuff. I’ve never gotten to trial somewhere without even applying for the job first. So, that was new.

Also, I don’t know if I’ve ever been to a restaurant with a less appealing menu.

I mean, I get that it’s an American Diner, but seriously. All of the things on the menu were like “A FRIED BURGER WITH FRIED ONION RINGS ON IT, CHEESE, BACON, SAUCE AND FRIED.”

And, on the one hand, I get it, but on the other hand…I promise that there’s more to American food than that!!! I promise!!!

Also, portion sizes were INSANE. It’s one of those situations where I think that the only reasonably-sized thing I saw was the kids meal. But, that’s like, an adult meal that’s not ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

There were platters that had, like, seven different types of meat on them. I don’t even know.

So, to sum up: I really have no idea how the trial went. I think it wasn’t, like, blow-your-socks-off-awesome, but it definitely wasn’t oh-my-god-that-sucked. So, we’ll see how that goes.

Also, Australians think America is what they see on reality T.V., and that kind of makes me cry inside.

    • I’m pretty sure that most Americans think Australia is clones of Steve Irwin with an opera house on the ocean for no apparent reason. :p

I think I would like it if I got it. Until then I’ll keep going with what I’ve got.

Or something completely different. We’ll see. 🙂
